In the early half of the 2010's, a series of experiments were initiated at the Large Hadron Collider that would prove to have a profound effect on the future of the human species. Subatomic particles, accelerated to blistering speeds collided in a spray of quarks and neutrinos that unleashed a fierce energy hitherto unseen. Containment systems failed. Failsafes burnt out one by one. Terrible forces tore repeatedly at the underlying fabric of time and space, twisted until it sheared free. For an instant a tunnel formed between our universe and the seething mass of chaos that lies outside. Although it lasted only a fraction of a second, that was all it took to change the world. Some say it was a giant owl that burst forth, shrieking. Others say they saw a group of shadowy men with strange instruments, probing at the ragged edge of reality. Still others claim that it was both, that the men were the owl, the owl the men, and the instruments those great wings whose tips bridge the gap between the real and the irreal. What they thankfully do not realise is that they are all correct. They that came forth are at once the owl and the man and they speak for the formless void beyond all we know. They are the cry in the night, the luminous eyes, the feathered talons plunging endlessly into the roiling dark. They are Oolluu.. Hoot hoot!

Collections of vintage 16mm, 8mm and Super 8 film have been cut and spliced together for three overlapping projectors to shine a unique light performance that invites all who watch to become part of a live movie soundtrack. Battlesick is an original Electronic Art Rock Spectacular Made up of a three members, Melbourne's electro Art rock Battlesick is two Bass players, one Vocalist, mashed together with big catchy beats over programmed drum machines. This new sound is dance music with an edge, it will make your feet move and your mind groove. Maximum visuals and sound with minimal members

SLEEPLAB [[LIVE]]
https://www.facebook.com/sleeplabaudio/?fref=ts
http://sleeplab.audio/
electro industrial rock hybrid born of musically sequenced destructive tendencies. melodic rumination, dystopic noise, layered interference. tea and cake. Benjamin Smith, previously known for his timeless Melbourne project Cassandra's Myth, is accompanied on stage by long-time collaborator Ivan Bullock of Minorarc. Both have been actively recording, performing and promoting music since the late ‘90s in Australia, Tokyo and Europe. Sleeplab have been described as post-party electro rock, but as certifiable homebodies they are without strong ties to any musical genre. This perhaps explains their chameleonic style, which lurches haphazardly from folk to ebm.

HOLLOW IDLE [[LIVE]]
Hollow Idle are Sam Chesser and Grant Kondrad. They recorded a full length record under the name The Cloaks in 2011, on the label EEO through MGM. The CD covered a lot if territory within its 8 tracks, from The Doors through Leonard Cohen to Garage Psych (not to mention Alt Country and 60's Pop as well). The record was described by highly prominent Australian music writer Jeff Jenkins as 'quite a trip' in his Inpress music column Howzat, with the track Morning Yard making his top 5 Oz artists songs of the week alongside the late Rock Icon Jim Keays of Masters Apprentices, Ben Lee & Henry Wagons. Not bad company! Expect more of the eclectic same with Hollow Idle, who will be revisiting a few key Cloaks tracks as well as throwing in a few surprises...

BEAUTIFUL-SAVAGES [[LIVE BAND

SLOW ROCK/INDIE ROCK
Slow motion world emerging from Melbourne punk, indie, rock and atmosphere. Inspired by iconic rock recordings like Pink Floyd and Television as well as a long term obsession with listening to breakthrough music the band started as a project of Dallas and Simon Rayner.
Playing early shows with a drum machine and programmed bass the band emerged loud and brazen onto the Melbourne music scene. A couple of years later it's a dynamically potent mix of light and shade - a downtempo underground rock experiment. "I can't write love songs..." Lead singer and lyricist Dallas doesn't fit the mould of your standard heartache biographer. You won't find a song that takes you back to your last break-up or makes you pick up the phone and call your mum, but you will find lyrically well crafted social commentary that gives pop culture a spank now and then. Back in October 2010 with the band still firmly in the grip of a new rave/wave style, their debut single 'Sweet Life' went out on iTunes. Sweet Life was promptly picked up by MTV Latin America's for their TV series 'Ninas Mal' (translation: Bad Girls!!). The shows producers loved the song and in keeping with their determination to promote new independent music used it for the show's pre-season teasers as well as throughout the season.
The band have been feature artists on triplejunearthed.com.au, mp3.com.au, fasterlouder.com.au, jbhifimusic.com.au and digg.com and have appeared in Tiger Airways in flight publication Tiger Tales, siting them as one of Melbourne's best live acts playing around right now.
Beautiful Savages have played numerous Melbourne venues, gaining fans, great reviews and polishing a strong set with their energised stage presence. They have headlined at Melbourne's best, such as Ding Dong Lounge, The Curtin Bandroom, The Empress and the hallowed stage of the Esplanade Hotel as well as playing with some of the best acts Melbourne has on offer. New stuff is being recorded, new songs are being written.

Ben B began playing in indie rock, improvised harsh guitar noise & grind/crust bands in 1997. Always passionate about music, Ben has worked in organizing and promoting parties, zine writing, music journalism/photography, hosting community radio shows, coding and maintaining band web-sites, band performances, djing, sound engineering, freestyle and written rapping and Tuvan & Mongolian style throat-singing. In 2005 Ben shifted focus from bands to solo work in electronic productions and dj performance. After various projects, he now finds himself performing under the name 'Ninja Gaijin'. Ben's music attempts to juxtapose and fuse as many eclectic tones and rhythms into as short a space of time as possible, allowing a focus on lack of repetition as well as an aim towards unexpected variations.
